We believe in one God existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that God is the source of all life, creator and sustainer of all creation.
We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His vicarious, substitutionary, and atoning death, His bodily resurrection and second coming.
We believe that all scripture is inspired by God and that it is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We belive that man is created in the image of God, that the first man, Adam, sinned, that this sin caused physical and spiritual death, and that since Adam, all persons are born with a sinful nature.
We believe that man is saved by grace through faith, wholly apart from human merit and works, and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again to a new life in Jesus Christ .
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead; the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to a life of eternal judgement.
We believe that Christians are to be seperated unto God, living holy lives pleasing to Him, and witnessing to His glory.
We believe that God directly created the heavens and the earth and all that lies therein in six days.

Thank you for visiting our website! Vandalia Christian Academy is an interdenominational school for preschool through eighth grade. We provide an excellent academic, Christian education in a caring environment.

Vandalia Christian Academy is a Christian school teaching a Christian curriculum. Christian education calls for an educational process putting the Bible at the center and asking the student to evaluate all he /she sees in the world through the eyes of God- because God is Truth. "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." (John 14:6) There is an important difference between a Christian and a non-Christian viewpoint on a given subject. Even though knowledge is factually the same for both, no subject can be taught in the totality of its truth if the Creator is ignored or denied. Knowledge is purified by the recognition of God's place in it.
VCA is happy to have added some new classes for the 2019-2020 year. Thanks to computers donated through State Farm Insurance Company, we now have a computer lab set up for the younger grades! They are learning keyboarding, and using educational apps to study.
In addition, new laptops were donated for each teacher and additional ones for the older students classrooms.
We have hired Ms. Sharon Mahon to teach a music class each week for K-3 and 4-8. In addition, Ms. Mahon works on the music for our programs with us, and has done an excellent job.
Mr. Sutton, a VCA graduate and National Guard soldier, has joined us an hour a day to teach P.E. He is teaching the kids how to do military push-ups, as well as creating fun games that improve motor skills, and teach teamwork and sportsmanship.
Last, but certainly not least, Mrs. Rae Lynn Harris has joined us after Christmas as a fourth and fifth grade teacher. Mrs. Harris has been a pre-school aide at VCA, and did her student teaching in second grade here, two years ago, so she is very familiar with most of our fourth graders! We are delighted she decided to come back to the VCA family.
